Title

[Influence of ozonetherapy on parameters of lipids of blood at complex treatment of patients with essential hypertension with metabolic syndrome]

Author

Olejnik, D A

Abstract

90 patients have been surveyed. Depending on the applied therapy patients are divided into 2 groups: control group — patients got base medicamentous therapy; basic group — additionally got procedures of ozonetherapy in the form of IP/V drop injections of the ozonized physiological solution. It is established that application of ozonetherapy in complex treatment of patients promotes development more expressed hypolipidemical effect, accompanied reduction of triglycerides, general cholesterol, low-density lipoproteins, increase of high-density lipoproteins in comparison with medicamentous therapy at all stages of supervision — in 1, 6 and 12 months. Key words: ozonetherapy, lipids of blood, hypertensive disease, metabolic syndrome.

Title

[Infections and diabetic foot syndrome in field practice]

Author

Záhumenský, E

Abstract

In diabetic foot syndrome, the infection of diabetic ulceration is the critical parameter of classification, the most frequent reason of hospitalization and the main cause of amputations. Debridement and release of pressure are the critical steps of initial therapy of neuropathic ulceration showing no clinical signs of infection. Infection of neuroischemic foot is much more serious condition: in case of positive microbiological finding, antibiotic therapy is recommended even without any clinical signs of infection. Healing can be accelerated by ozone and Dermacyn therapy. Prevention of ulceration should be based on using appropriate shoes (with respect to risk factors) and PC plantography.

Abstract

A study was made on a sample of 19 children, suffering from hearing loss, with different degrees, ages and development level of language, with the objective to evaluate the behavior of several hormones (T4, T3, TSH, cortisol) and insulin, at the beginning and at the end of the rectal ozone treatment in doses according to weight. The results demonstrated that hiperthyroxinemia cases disappeared obtaining a value of T3 and T4 significantly less in the post-treatment. Cortisol reached values significantly lower before the treatment, achieving a normal population distribution after the treatment. Also, insulin values that were lower at the beginning become normal at the end of the treatment. The audiometry also showed improvement. This study demonstrated that ozone, at appropriate doses, could act as a hormonal modulator, producing an auditory improvement.
